Julia Helm and Matthias’ Intimate Wedding at Soho House Berlin

Some weddings just have a certain feeling to them. Effortless, personal and full of life.

Julia Helm and Matthias’ wedding in Berlin was exactly that.

The day began with an intimate civil ceremony at Villa Kogge, followed by a beautiful celebration at Soho House Berlin. A place we have always loved for its character, beautiful interiors and unmistakable Berlin atmosphere.

Julia is a well-known Berlin-based content creator with an incredible eye for photography and film. So naturally, we were a little more excited than usual to photograph her wedding. When someone creates such beautiful visual work themselves, documenting one of the most personal days of their life feels like a particularly special responsibility.

We photographed almost the entire wedding on analog film, embracing everything we love about it. The movement, the grain, the little imperfections and the way film captures a moment without making it feel too polished.

For their portraits, we simply wandered through the streets around Soho House, letting Berlin become part of the story. No complicated setups or endless posing. Just Julia and Matthias walking, laughing, moving and being themselves.

And that was really the feeling of the entire day.

Everything was wonderfully relaxed and natural. The ceremony, the people, the atmosphere and, later, a seriously good party at Soho House. It was such a joy to photograph these two, and we couldn't be happier with how the images turned out.

As Berlin wedding photographers, these are exactly the celebrations we love. Beautiful places, people with a sense of style and the freedom to document everything as it naturally unfolds.
