We’re Julia & Gil — photographers, partners in life and parents to two wonderful little humans. Home is an old city apartment where coffee is always brewing for friends who drop by. We’re into minimalist design, traveling (Italy has our heart) and books with unforgettable stories, think Benedict Wells or Martin Suter.

On most days, you’ll find us eating French Toast at our favorite café (292 Karangahape Road) or chasing our kids through the playground with sand in our shoes.

For over a decade, we’ve photographed weddings across Europe, from Lake Como to Portugal, Mallorca to Puglia. Our work has been featured in Vogue, The Wed, The Lane, Anti-Bride, Magnolia Rouge and Style Me Pretty, among others.

We’ve had the privilege of documenting celebrations for politicians, athletes, CEOs and creatives, people who trust us for our artistic eye and our discretion. With years of experience in high-profile settings, we understand the importance of privacy.

Our work is inspired by Impressionist painters like Monet, who captured emotion through light, color and movement, as well as by photographers such as Slim Aarons, Henri Cartier-Bresson and Sage Sohier, whose sense for composition and atmosphere shapes how we see.

We view photography as an art form, a way of translating feeling into image. Museums, paintings and nature continually remind us that beauty lies not in perfection, but in feeling.

Our style is editorial, emotional and instinctive. Working with us feels easy. No forced poses, no performance. Just gentle guidance, calm energy and the space to be yourselves.

We work as a tightly coordinated team of at least two, often three, covering photo and video together. We combine digital and analog photography, drone and Super 8 to create a consistent, high-end visual narrative. Every angle, every detail, seamlessly captured.
